Anderson Lee Aldrich, the suspect in the mass shooting at LGBTQ bar Club Q in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has pleaded guilty to five counts of murder in the first degree and 46 counts of attempted murder in the first degree. Howell Donaldson III, the Seminole Heights serial killer, has pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder to avoid the death penalty. The murders of Benjamin Edward Mitchell, Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa, and Ronald Felton between Oct. 9, 2017, and Nov. 14, 2017, appeared to be random. Donaldson was identified as the killer after he gave a gun to his manager at McDonald’s in Ybor City, who then turned it in to Tampa police.
