Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird Wins Re-Election in 2023 General Election
Incumbent Democrat Leirion Gaylor Baird has won the Lincoln mayoral election, defeating Republican Suzanne Geist. Unofficial final results show Baird leading by nearly 7,000 votes, with some early votes, provisional votes, and resolution ballots still to be counted later this week. Voters also decided on city council seats, the airport authority board of directors, and some seats on the Lincoln Public Schools board of education.
