YouTube Premium Ends Grandfathered Discounts for Early Subscribers
YouTube is increasing the prices for its Premium and Music Premium subscriptions for long-time subscribers with legacy plans in various countries, including the US and parts of Europe. Subscribers who initially signed up through Google Play Music or YouTube Red will see their rates rise to the current standard pricing, with some receiving a three-month grace period at their existing rate. This change affects users in multiple countries, with specific examples showing increases from 7.99 euros to 10.99 euros in Spain.
