Anthropic Chief Walks Back Controversial Memo Targeting Trump Policy
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei apologized for the tone of a leaked internal memo criticizing the Trump administration, calling the post outdated and not reflective of his current views or corporate stance, and saying the memo wasn’t leaked by the company. The Pentagon designated Anthropic a supply-chain risk, barring defense-contract work, while Amodei said the firm will challenge the decision in court and has been in talks with the DoD about narrowly tailored ways to support national security and ensure access to important tools for warfighters.
