Princeton Graduate Receives 2-Month Prison Sentence for Capitol Storming
Larry F. Giberson Jr., a former Princeton University student, has been sentenced to two months in prison for his participation in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Giberson pleaded guilty to civil disorder and expressed remorse in court. The misdemeanors were dismissed as part of his plea agreement, and he was also sentenced to six months of supervised release under home detention. The judge called his actions "reprehensible" but considered his expressions of remorse in determining the sentence. Giberson is one of over 1,100 people charged in connection with the Capitol riot.
