Missouri's attorney general has announced new restrictions on gender-affirming care for both minors and adults, which is believed to be a first nationally. The rule, which includes a required 18 months of therapy before receiving gender-affirming health care, is set to take effect on April 27 and expire next February. Advocacy groups such as the ACLU and Lambda Legal have threatened to sue, calling the order "deeply wrong" and urging those affected to call. At least 13 states have now enacted laws restricting or banning gender-affirming care for minors.
