Disney cancels $1 billion Florida campus in ongoing dispute with Governor.
Disney has canceled plans for a new campus in Lake Nona, Florida, citing changes in leadership and business conditions. The campus was set to host employees from Disney's Parks, Experiences and Products division, and the company had asked roughly 2,000 Southern California-based employees to relocate. However, the company affirmed its commitment to additional expansion and job creation, with plans to invest $17 billion and create 13,000 jobs over the next ten years. The announcement comes amid an ongoing dispute between Disney and Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the company's special district in the state.
