Curiosity Turns Deadly: Korean True Crime Fanatic Sentenced for Murder
A 23-year-old Korean true crime fanatic, Jung Yoo-jung, has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of an English-language teacher, which she allegedly committed "out of curiosity." Yoo-jung, who scored highly on psychopath tests, used an app to connect with the victim and posed as a high school student's mother. After gaining entry to the victim's home, Yoo-jung attacked and stabbed her over 100 times, shocking South Korea. She then dismembered the body and dumped it in the woods. Yoo-jung's browsing history revealed her interest in learning how to dispose of a body. Despite claiming mental disorders and hallucinations, the court rejected her argument and sentenced her to life in prison.
