Al Roker Triumphantly Returns to TODAY After Knee Surgery Absence
Al Roker returned to TODAY after his total knee replacement surgery, which was a more involved operation than his previous knee replacement surgery over 20 years ago. He took time off to recover and kept fans updated on his progress through social media and video calls to the TODAY show. Recovery time varies, but most people are able to walk without the help of a cane or walker about six weeks after surgery. Al has remained committed to walking and physical therapy to get himself back up to speed.
