
Kim Potter, Ex-Cop Who Killed Daunte Wright, Released From Prison
Former Minnesota police officer Kimberly Potter has been released from prison after serving 16 months of a two-year sentence for manslaughter charges in the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright. Potter was convicted of first- and second-degree manslaughter after fatally shooting Wright during a traffic stop in April 2021. Wright's mother expressed her anger and sadness at Potter's release, while the judge argued that Potter "never intended to hurt anyone."
