"Desperate Parents Seek Kidney Donor for 2-Year-Old Son"
Two-year-old Conrad, who survived a rare birth defect, is now in need of a kidney donor due to end-stage kidney disease. His parents have been searching for a living donor as a kidney from an adult living donor will provide more longevity and allow for more time for planning for the transplant. The family hopes to raise awareness not only for Conrad's need but also for the larger need for organ donors across the United States, as over 103,000 children and adults are on the national transplant waiting list.
