"12-year-old's 4-Year Struggle with Long COVID"
Theo Huot de Saint-Albin, now 12, has been battling long COVID for four years, experiencing chronic migraines, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, muscle pain, extreme fatigue, and brain fog. He has been diagnosed with long COVID, a condition impacting potentially millions of children, and is receiving treatment at the Pediatric Post-COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. There is no cure for long COVID, but the clinic focuses on symptom management and helping kids return to normal life, while also training school nurses and community health care providers to identify and accommodate students with long COVID.
