
Storms Leave Thousands Without Power in Kansas City Metro
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Kansas and northwestern and west-central Missouri, including the Kansas City Metro. Flooding on roadways has been reported, and power outages have been experienced. Scattered thunderstorms with hail and strong winds are expected, followed by clearing skies and rising temperatures into the 90s. A heat wave is forecasted to begin on Tuesday and last through the weekend.
