Supreme Court intervenes in Richard Glossip execution case.
The US Supreme Court has halted the execution of Richard Glossip, an Oklahoma death row inmate, after the state's attorney general said he didn't receive a fair trial. Glossip was convicted of the 1997 murder-for-hire plot of his boss, Barry Alan Van Treese. The execution will be put on hold while the Supreme Court reviews the case. Glossip has always maintained his innocence, and his attorneys claim that the key witness, Justin Sneed, gave false testimony to the jury.
