A Hillsborough mansion, known as the "Western White House," designed by Julia Morgan as a replica of the White House in Washington, is on the market for $38.9 million. Built by George Hearst, son of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, the mansion features a replica of the Oval Office and the East Room. Although Hearst never lived in the mansion, it was intended to showcase his aspirations for the presidency.
