A Hillsborough mansion, known as the "Western White House," designed by Julia Morgan as a replica of the White House in Washington, is on the market for $38.9 million. Built by George Hearst, son of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, the mansion features a replica of the Oval Office and the East Room. Although Hearst never lived in the mansion, it was intended to showcase his aspirations for the presidency. The property has changed hands multiple times and underwent renovations before being listed for sale. The 24,350 square-foot mansion sits on a 3-acre lot and offers 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
