Chandrababu Naidu's Jail Time Extended as he Challenges Corruption Case
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu will remain in jail for two more days as his 14-day judicial remand comes to an end. The judge extended his remand until September 24, pending the delivery of the judgement on his quash petition in the high court. Naidu expressed anguish over his arrest, stating it was unjust and illegal, but vowed to respect the law and hoped for justice. The ACB court will decide on the CID's petition for Naidu's custody for five days later in the day.
