John Tinniswood, recognized as the world's oldest man, has passed away at the age of 112 in Southport, England. Tinniswood, who held the title since April 2024, attributed his long life to "pure luck" and advised moderation in all things. He is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The oldest man ever recorded was Jiroemon Kimura of Japan, who lived to 116.

John Tinniswood, the world's oldest man, has passed away at the age of 112 in Southport, England. Born in 1912, Tinniswood attributed his long life to luck, regular exercise, and enjoying fish and chips every Friday. He became the world's oldest man in April after the death of Juan Vicente Perez. Tinniswood, who lived through both World Wars and worked for Shell and BP, was known for his moderation in all things and was a lifelong Liverpool soccer fan. The world's oldest living woman is currently Japan's Tomiko Itooka, aged 116.
