John Carter to Stand Trial for Katelyn Markham's Cold Case Murder.
John Carter, who reported his fiance Katelyn Markham missing in 2011, has been charged with her murder after her remains were found in rural Indiana two years later. His trial is set to begin in June 2024. Butler County Prosecutor Michael Gmoser included a typed poem found in Carter's home in court documents. Katelyn's father hopes for closure and a conviction. Carter posted a $1 million bond and is expected to wear a GPS monitor as he awaits trial.
