Nebraska State Senator Ends 3-Week Filibuster Against Anti-Trans Bill
Nebraska State Senator Machaela Cavanaugh has agreed to stop her filibuster of LB574, a bill that would ban gender-altering care for transgender youth, after making an agreement with State Senator John Arch. The bill will be debated on Tuesday, and Cavanaugh's spokesperson expects it to go to cloture next Thursday. Cavanaugh had previously vowed to filibuster every bill for the rest of the session.
