Arctic Sentry Expands NATO Footprint in the High North
NATO’s Allied Command Operations launched Arctic Sentry on Feb 11, 2026 to bolster a persistent, multi-domain presence in the Arctic and High North. Led by Joint Force Command Norfolk and coordinating with NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, the program aims to improve visibility of Allied activity and integrate regional exercises such as Denmark’s Arctic Endurance and Norway’s Cold Response into a unified operational approach to deter aggression and maintain stability in the region.
