"Hyundai and Jeremy Scott's Upcycled Fashion Collection: From Car Scraps to Couture"
Fashion designer Jeremy Scott has collaborated with carmaker Hyundai to create a capsule collection of couture made from scrap auto parts, which he has dubbed "car-ture." The handmade garments, which include a bustier dress made from disused electrical wires and a velvet fishtail gown made from windscreen wipers, will be exhibited in Seoul for the next two and a half weeks. The project marks the fourth installment of Hyundai's annual "Re: Style" initiative, which sees notable fashion designers upcycle scrap car parts into fashion items. Scott said that sustainability will play an important role in any future endeavor.
