Controversial Judging in Grasso-Shevchenko Fight Divides NSAC and UFC Fighters
Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) executive director Jeff Mullen disagreed with judge Mike Bell's controversial 10-8 score in the fifth round of the UFC women's featherweight title fight between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko. Mullen and other judges on a training call agreed that the round should have been scored 10-9 for Grasso instead. Shevchenko has questioned the score and UFC president Dana White expressed dissatisfaction, suggesting a trilogy fight between Grasso and Shevchenko would be appropriate. The training call aimed to clarify the criteria for scoring 10-8 rounds in MMA.
