Tipp City native, Jason Salyer, won the men's race at the 25th annual Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati, finishing the 26.2-mile marathon in 2 hours, 27 minutes and 10 seconds despite rainy conditions.

Tipp City native Jason Salyer wins the 2023 Flying Pig Marathon, passing 2022 runner-up Will Cadwell on Columbia Parkway and holding him off for the final five miles. Seth Elking, a University of Cincinnati sophomore, wins the men's half marathon with a time of 1:10:56. Despite heavy rain causing flooded shoes, Elking saw the weather as a refreshing source of energy.
