"Ford EVs Now Compatible with Tesla Supercharger Network"
Ford electric vehicles now have access to the Tesla Supercharger network through the use of a J3400 adapter, with Ford offering the adapter for free to Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning owners who order before June 30, or for $230 thereafter. This move comes after Ford's switch to the J3400 standard, making it the first automaker to gain access to the Tesla Supercharger network. The adapter allows Ford EVs to use more than 15,000 Tesla chargers, but only the newer units capable of charging at up to 250 kW are compatible. Additionally, Ford's plug-in hybrids are not compatible with the adapter, as they are only capable of AC charging.
