Despite mass layoffs in Silicon Valley, there were 316,000 job openings in tech as of March 2023, according to CompTIA. Tech jobs remain plentiful in the US, providing stable and potentially lucrative careers even for those without college degrees. Workforce training programs like Per Scholas have proven to be highly effective at placing graduates in IT support, cybersecurity, app development, and Java development, among other roles, with more than 80% of graduates finding full-time work within a year.
