iOS 26 and Apple Devices: Compatibility and System Requirements
Apple's iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 updates will support most recent models, but the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, and 7th-generation iPad will be left behind, receiving no major OS updates beyond iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, respectively. These older devices will still get security updates for a few more years.
