Florida Braces for Tropical Storm System Approaching
Invest 93-L, a disturbance over the western Caribbean, is likely to strengthen into a tropical storm and move towards Florida next week. There is a potential for a low-end hurricane to impact the Florida Panhandle/Big Bend region and surrounding areas on Wednesday. The forecast calls for heavy rain, gusty winds, higher than normal tides, and isolated tornadoes. Meanwhile, another system named Franklin is strengthening but will stay away from the United States. Several other areas in the Atlantic are being monitored but pose no threat to land at the moment.
