Nordic Nations Rally to Strengthen Ukraine's Defense Against Drones
Norway has signed a £56 million ($71 million) contract to provide Ukraine with anti-drone detection and weapons systems. The equipment includes surveillance and target acquisition radar, a remote weapon station with a 30mm low recoil cannon, and a control system. The systems will be mounted on German wheeled vehicles. The provision of these systems aims to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities against aerial threats and support their efforts to counter Russia's aggression. The contract is part of the UK-led International Fund of Ukraine, which allows participating countries to provide military support without compromising their own capabilities.
