Belkin's Wemo Drops Support for Smart Home Standard Matter.

Belkin's Wemo has decided to pause development of Matter devices, which was supposed to revolutionize interconnectivity and ease of access for smart home devices from different brands. The company has decided to take a step back from allowing access to Matter for its future devices until it can find a way to differentiate its devices from others in the market. The Connectivity Standards Alliance, which created Matter, had 280 other companies signed on for the standard, and it remains to be seen how big a blow Belkin's decision will be.
