Former Meta Recruiter Claims Lack of Work and Productivity.
A former talent sourcer at Meta, Maddie Machado, has claimed that her team "did nothing" due to "inefficient" recruitment processes and a limited talent pool. Machado, who was fired in February 2022, said that there "wasn't enough work" for her team, despite each member being tasked with speaking to up to five potential hires a week. Meta has recently begun a new round of layoffs, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg announcing the cutting of 11,000 jobs in November 2021, followed by a further 10,000 in March 2022.
