"Simons Foundation Honors 13 Exceptional Individuals with 2023 Independence Awards"
The Simons Foundation has announced the 13 recipients of its 2023 Independence Awards. These fellows will receive support as they transition from mentored training to independent research positions. The awards are provided through the Simons Collaboration on the Global Brain, the Simons Collaboration on Plasticity and the Aging Brain, and the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative. The fellows will receive postdoctoral support, annual salary, resource and professional development allowance, and grant funding upon assuming a tenure-track faculty position. The programs aim to engage fellows in the transition to research independence and support important topics in neuroscience and autism science.
