'Squatter Influencer' from Venezuela Arrested by ICE
A TikTok creator, Leonardo Moreno, who promoted "squatters rights" and advised people to live in unoccupied homes was arrested by ICE for illegal immigration in Gahanna. Moreno, a Venezuelan citizen, entered the U.S. illegally and was placed in ICE's "alternatives to detention" program. His videos, posted in Spanish, suggested entering abandoned homes and invoking "squatters rights." U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance blamed the Biden administration for Moreno's actions and shared one of his videos on social media.
