Motty: The Unique Hybrid Elephant That Challenges Science
Motty was the world's only confirmed hybrid between an African and an Asian elephant, born in 1978 at Chester Zoo. Despite inheriting traits from both species, he died shortly after birth due to health complications, highlighting the biological challenges of such rare hybridization.
