Hurricane Margot has formed in the Atlantic, becoming the fifth hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic season. It is currently located northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph. While it is expected to strengthen further, there is no immediate threat to land. Hurricane Lee remains a major Category 3 hurricane, moving slowly west-northwest with no coastal watches or warnings. Additionally, two tropical waves off the coast of west Africa are expected to merge and have a 70% chance of developing into a tropical depression over the next week.
