Utah Implements Anti-Trans Bathroom Ban and Bans DEI Efforts
Utah has passed a bill, House Bill 257, that prohibits transgender individuals from using bathrooms in public schools and government-owned buildings that align with their gender identity, unless they can prove they have undergone gender-affirming surgery and changed the sex on their birth certificates. Violators may face charges for loitering, and government-owned institutions may face fines for not enforcing the new rules.
