Washington State Senator Arrested at Hong Kong Airport with Unregistered Firearm

Washington state senator Jeff Wilson was arrested at Hong Kong International Airport for carrying an unregistered gun. Wilson, who claims it was an honest mistake, said he did not know the pistol was in his briefcase when he passed through airport security in Portland. He discovered the weapon mid-flight and immediately alerted customs officials upon landing. Wilson is charged with carrying a firearm without a license and is due back in court on October 30.
