Quantum Material Enables High-Power Coherent Microwave Source.
An international team of researchers, led by the University of Geneva, has developed a quantum material that allows the curvature of the space inhabited by electrons to be controlled. The material, which was created using an advanced system for fabricating materials on an atomic scale, holds promise for future electronic devices, particularly in the field of optoelectronics. The researchers believe that this new material opens up new avenues in the exploration of very high-speed electromagnetic signal manipulation and can also be used to develop new sensors.
