
Las Vegas high schools see anti-ICE walkouts; student struck amid protests
Social media flyers promoted anti-ICE walkouts at Las Vegas-area high schools on Wednesday, with protests slated from about 10:30 a.m. to 1:11 p.m. Demonstrations occurred at schools including Legacy and Cheyenne; a Desert Rose High School student was reportedly hit by a vehicle during a protest but is expected to be OK, and the LVMPD said it is monitoring the events and not participating in immigration enforcement.
