An Atlantic City police officer was injured from smoke inhalation while rescuing residents during a multi-alarm fire at the Brighton Towers residential high-rise. The building was evacuated, residents were rescued from balconies, and crews from nearby towns assisted as firefighters worked to control the blaze. The cause is under investigation.
