Meteorite crashes into New Jersey home, no injuries reported
A metallic object, believed to be a meteorite, crashed into a New Jersey home, creating a hole in the roof and bouncing around a bedroom before coming to rest on the floor. The object, which measures about 4 by 6 inches and weighs about four pounds, caused no injuries or serious damage to the residence. The family plans to meet with an astrophysicist to further examine the object, and hazmat officials responded to the home to check for any exposure to radioactive material, but found none.
