Megan Thee Stallion Debuts on Broadway in Moulin Rouge!, Gender-Flips Harold Zidler
Megan Thee Stallion will make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, playing a gender-flipped Harold Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for eight weeks (Mar 24–May 17). This marks the first time a female-identifying performer portrays Zidler in any Moulin Rouge production. Despite strong attendance, the show is expensive to mount and will close on July 26 after seven years on Broadway, with producers hinting Megan’s songs will be incorporated into the jukebox score.
