Rays sweep struggling Twins to extend win streak.
The Tampa Bay Rays completed a three-game sweep of the Minnesota Twins with a 4-2 victory on Thursday. The Rays used their power and speed to beat the Twins, with Harold Ramirez hitting his ninth home run of the season and Luke Raley hitting his second career triple. Yonny Chirinos went 5⅔ innings in a spot start, allowing just one run, and Jason Adam picked up his 10th save. The Twins' Bailey Ober was told by umpires to wash a black substance off his pitching hand, which seemed to rattle him and the Rays quickly solved the right-hander.
