Historic Film Location Reduced to Ashes in Devastating Blaze
A fire broke out at a hangar at the former Tustin Air Base in Orange County, where several film and TV series, including "Pearl Harbor" and "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me," were shot. The historic hangars, once used for housing blimps during World War II, are among the largest wooden structures ever built. Firefighters are battling the blaze, and due to the danger of collapse, the structure will be allowed to collapse before ground crews can move in to extinguish the fire. Arson investigators have been called to determine the cause of the fire.
