Couple Commits Suicide with Homemade Guillotine in Gujarat
A couple from India, who had been worshipping the god Shiva at an improvised temple on their property, committed suicide by decapitating themselves with a homemade guillotine rigged to roll their heads directly into a fire altar as a form of human sacrifice. The couple's two children found their headless torsos when they returned home from visiting their uncle in a nearby village. The case is being investigated as an accidental death, and the victims' bodies were sent to a coroner's office to undergo autopsies.
