Rep. Greg Stanton is advocating for the return of Amtrak passenger train service to Phoenix, the largest city in the U.S. without intercity passenger rail service. Stanton believes that the lack of rail service impedes mobility for Phoenix residents and negatively impacts the city's economy. Stanton and other lawmakers are also pushing for train service between Tucson and Phoenix.
