"I Am Maximus Triumphs in 2024 Grand National at Aintree"

I Am Maximus, ridden by jockey Paul Townend and trained by Willie Mullins, won the Grand National at Aintree, finishing seven and a half lengths ahead of Delta Work. The race saw early drama with last year's winner unseating the jockey at the first fence, but 21 horses completed the race, the highest number since 1992. The victory puts Mullins in contention for the British trainers' championship, and there were also notable wins for Gordon Elliott and jockey Jack Kennedy on the day's card.
