Virginia Primary Results: Sturtevant Emerges Victorious in GOP Senate Race.
Glen Sturtevant has won the Republican primary for Virginia Senate's 12th District, defeating incumbent Amanda Chase. Sturtevant is expected to face Democrat Natan McKenzie in the general election. The 12th district is primarily made up of western Chesterfield, but it includes parts of all five of the county’s magisterial districts and the city of Colonial Heights. The election results are not yet finalized, but control of the state legislature is up for grabs in the Nov. 7 general election.
