Six-Cylinder Return: Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 Delivers Turbo Inline-Six Power
Mercedes-AMG brings back a six-cylinder engine in the GLC 53 with a turbo 3.0-liter inline-six producing 443 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque (overboost for 10 seconds), plus updated internals and intercooler for stronger performance. It hits 0–60 mph in 4.1 seconds and tops out at 167 mph with the Dynamic Plus Package, and there’s a Coupe variant. AWD with an optional drift mode and standard rear-axle steering are included, and pricing wasn’t disclosed but is expected to sit between the GLC 43 and GLC 63 ranges.
