"Jennifer Lawrence stars in raunchy comedy 'No Hard Feelings': A review"

Jennifer Lawrence stars in "No Hard Feelings," a raunchy R-rated comedy tailor-made for her by writer-director Gene Stupnitsky. The film follows Lawrence's character Maddie, an Uber driver without a car, who answers a Craigslist ad to "date" a 19-year-old boy. The situation escalates from there, with a sweet core to the film. Lawrence says the experience was a blast, helped by her connection with her younger co-star. "No Hard Feelings" is Lawrence's first major theatrical release in a few years and is set to hit theaters soon.

"Jennifer Lawrence's 'No Hard Feelings': A Mixed Bag of Raunchy Comedy and Disappointment"

"No Hard Feelings" is a comedy from director and co-writer Gene Stupnitsky that starts out as a gross-out comedy but eventually heads closer to "The Graduate" territory. Jennifer Lawrence hits the mark as a thirty-ish woman whose great looks and popularity have seemingly delayed her full transition from hot young thing into responsible adulthood. The film is funny, gross, ballsy, lame, daring, and uncertain, more or less in equal measure, but Lawrence is the real pro here.

Mixed Reviews for Jennifer Lawrence's Raunchy Comedy 'No Hard Feelings'

No Hard Feelings, a supposed raunchy comedy directed by Gene Stupnitsky and starring Jennifer Lawrence, is a horrifically misjudged and criminally unfunny enterprise. Lawrence plays Maddie, a cash-strapped chancer who answers a Craigslist ad from a couple looking for someone to date their painfully awkward 19-year-old son, Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman). The film's plot is a weird conflation of gig-economy hustles, Uber driving, bar work, prostitution and sugaring. Every pratfall, including the naked ones, is joyless and witlessly timed. Potentially interesting supporting characters are introduced only to never reappear.

Jennifer Lawrence's 'No Hard Feelings': A Sweet and Saucy Raunchy Comedy Review

"No Hard Feelings," directed and co-written by Gene Stupnitsky, is a satisfyingly funny summer comedy modeled after the raunchy comedies of the early aughts. Jennifer Lawrence stars as Maddie, a Montauk local who responds to a Craigslist ad to casually date a rich couple's son before college. The film has a surprising amount of heart and Lawrence's performance is sharp and sassy. While the generational divide between Maddie and Percy (played by Andrew Barth Feldman) provides the substance for many of the film's jokes, the bond between these two lonely souls is ultimately endearing.
